VOLUNTEER WITH VETS

MAKING A DIFFERENCE WITH PURPOSE –

Volunteer Roles at V.E.T.S.

Caring for Our Animals –

Our horses aren’t just animals — they’re teammates, teachers, and healers. Keeping them healthy and ready to serve requires daily dedication. Volunteers help with feeding, grooming, mucking stalls, and barn upkeep, ensuring that our equine partners receive the care and respect they deserve. Every task — big or small — directly supports the heart of our mission.

Maintaining Our Healing Grounds

Our farms arent just places — they are sanctuary. Volunteers help us keep it safe, functional, and beautiful all year long. From fixing fences and mowing fields to preparing event spaces and clearing snow, there’s always something that needs doing. When our grounds are well cared for, they offer a peaceful, welcoming space where veterans can reconnect and recover.

Supporting Program Days

Veterans come to V.E.T.S. to heal, grow, and reconnect — and that takes a team. Volunteers assist with setting up arenas, organizing equipment, managing logistics, and offering hands-on support throughout the day. Just showing up with a helpful attitude and a steady presence can make all the difference to someone walking into the barn for the first time.

Pitching In at Events

Whether it’s our golf tournament, the Ruck Up weekend, a community open house, or a fundraising dinner — our events run on people power. Volunteers help with setup, cleanup, guest check-in, hospitality, and more. These events raise crucial funds, build awareness, and bring our community together — and your help makes them happen.
